Photos: Prairie for the People Grand Opening
Aug. 2018 – Non-profit partners and the community near Rabanus Park, Fargo, celebrated the end of construction at World Garden Commons on August 5, 2018. The purpose to celebrate construction, bring people together and encourage people to use the greenspace for their own gatherings, reflection and play.
One attendee said, “The event was fantastic! Lots of people and engagement and fun activities!”
A variety of ecological and cultural activities were planned characterizing prairie for the people and to show the importance of community connection, nature, natural resources and the creative expressions of cultures.
World Garden Commons is a newly transformed greenspace that reflects the cultural vibrancy of the Fargo community and serves as a stormwater collection basin.
